Try Dives 2013

Try Dives in October netted a few new members

Busy times ahead as the training season gets under way.

Magnificent Mallaig 8/9th June 2013

A brilliant weekend diving in Mallaig.- we arrived on Friday night to bright sun and few midges, then pre dive briefing in the Steam Inn.  Saturday dawned bright and sunny so we headed for Eigg and had two great dives in crystal clear water with lunch between dives at Eigg harbour.

Headed back to Mallaig via Inverie for a ‘debriefing’ at The Old Forge’ –“the remotest pub on the UK mainland” then dinner at the Cornerstone. Sunday was, if anything, even sunnier. Destination – Loch Nevis;Mission – Scallops; Mission accomplished! All in all, a terrific weekend which is becoming a favourite for most Club members. (Barrie, can I have some lessons on booking weather please?)

Catterline Capers 29th May 2013

Lovely night on Wednesday with good viz and most of the usual denizens spotted. 4 of us (where were you all?) had a good dive, more of this please.

Catterline Capers 26th May 2013

Finally managed a dive at Catterline after some of the worst weather we’ve ever experienced and some serious access problems. Sunday was a beautiful day with bright sun and clear(ish) water. 5 dived – would have been 7 but for car problems but a good day nonetheless. Now some similar type weather for Mallaig please!

Oban Observations 2013

Despite the seemingly never ending inclement weather, we had a good weekend in Oban 10th – 12th May. Diving wasn’t spectacular but at least we all got wet. Let’s hope things warm up for Mallaig next month.
